Financial mis-selling

What is financial mis-selling?

Many businesses have been mis-sold financial products in the past by banks or another financial body. The financial products may not have been right for the company, unnecessary for the circumstances or the business was not given clear information about what they were signing up for.

If you were offered unsuitable advice when purchasing a financial product, this is known as financial mis-spelling. This can be the case if; the risks were not explained to you, or you were provided with the information you initially needed but resulted in a product that was not right for you. Financial services must be sold to you in a fair, transparent, and non-misleading manner.

How can we help and what do we do?

To begin the process, we will gather all relevant information and written proof of your mis-sold product. We will then proceed to make a claim, once you are happy, we will forward the complaint to the provider of the financial product.

Depending on the type of financial product, we will be able to advise whether it is best to refer the complaint to the Financial Ombudsman or whether you have sufficient grounds to commence legal proceedings against the financial provider.

Our specialist litigation team can assist you throughout the process and prepare your case to maximise your chances of success.
